LTI Systems
What is a system?
A system is a process that transforms
an input signal \(x(t)\)
into an output signal \(y(t)\).
Properties of LTI Systems
With and Without Memory
-
A system is said to have memory
when the outputs at a \(t\) time instant
depend on the inputs can be in the past times like \(t-1\), \(t-2\), etc.
or in the future times like \(t+1\), \(t+2\), etc.
-
A system is said to have not memory when the output
at a \(t\) time instant depends on the inputs
in the same \(t\) instant
Invertibility or Inverse Systems
Causality
Stability
Time Invariance
Linearity
What is an LTI system?
An LTI system (Linear and Time-Invariant)
is a system that has the properties of
linearity and time invariance.
